Bugs With Bork

My plush dog Bork is a big source of inspiration for me. I’ve had him since I was about two years old and he’s gone with me everywhere, including class! He sits, watches and occasionally judges me from a corner, but he has a spark of life in his eyes that I wanted to shine light on.

“Bugs with Bork” originally came about as I was getting back into my extreme love for (most) bugs. Because I consider Bork as partially an extension of myself, it became a no-brainer for me to merge both topics.

Making the book into an alphabet of bugs was partially challenging, as I had to find a good balance of bug variety, but I had fun imagining how Bork would interact with each one, treating them as his friends. Bork himself even posed for each picture! His favorite bug out of all of them is the millipede, but don’t tell the others, Bork doesn’t want them to feel jealous.
